Quay discovered her passion for hair when she was in middle school. She always wanted her hair to be different from the other girls, so she experimented with different styles. Everyone loved her creations, so she started doing all her friends' hair. Quay went straight to cosmetology school after graduating from high school and has owned her own salon every since.
